On Friday June 21st at 10:41 p.m. the dept was requested to assist the Wading River FD at a working residential structure fire. Upon arrival of chief-30 he observed a 1 story 20x40 private dwelling with heavy fire in the rear and extending into the attic.with permission from the incident commander C-30 requested the response of TL-14 in addition to E-7 due to the rapid changing conditions. Upon arrival of E-7 the members split into different teams. Some of the members assisting in helping WRFD with their hose lines, and stretching of additional hose lines. TL-14 arrived and performed ventilation duties and searches as needed. A-8 responded and worked with WRFD & Riverhead Ambulance Corps with rehab of operating members. One civilian was transported with non life threatening injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Town of Riverhead Fire Marshall.
