On December 29 at 1:08 p.m., the department received a call reporting an RV on fire. Chief 32 arrived on scene and confirmed that the RV was involved in a fire, with possible extension to a nearby house. Engine 7 was first to arrive and began operations following department guidelines for vehicle fires. Engine 15 arrived second and assisted Engine 7 with extinguishment efforts. Engine 3 arrived third, secured a reliable water supply, and began search and overhaul operations.

Department fire police secured the scene for emergency operations. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal.
