On August 7th the Rocky Point Fire Department conducted a water rescue training with our neighbors from the Sound Beach FD. The drill was broken into 3 scenarios. The members tested their skills on navigating our boat, and communicating with neighboring departments. The firefighters also practiced their rope rescue skills while working with our EMS members in water related emergencies. This training was a great success and provided an opportunity to enhance the skills needed to respond to future water related emergencies.
